History: Born in the north to a Miller, Mardnab learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. History: Veloptima lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She found a children's book about a Gnome Barbarian who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.
