History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Zephan alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Ea hails from a village terrorized by brigands. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what she was had she not made sure her armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit she prefers to wear blue pants and tee shirts. Her blonde hair is matted, messy, and big. Her hazel eyes peer out from beneath her top blue hat.

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She now mingles about in high society.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Courier kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and a rival would like him out of the picture
