History: Laucian lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is a Beggar first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: Her necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She's also a talented Farmer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.

Personality: She believes there is no problem she cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. She disdains her fellow northerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her first spouse was a Miner, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and to unite with her sister
