Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He is content; and he wants revenge against gnolls

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Valanthe was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Simon grew up listening to his father's many stories. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and obtaining odd cultural gnomish artifacts is his passion

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Servant. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
