History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Miner responsibilities is difficult; and doesn't want to be a miner and was forced into it by his family

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Oppleby was born the youngest of three triplets. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Oppleby alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
