History: Gifted from a young age, Randal studied abroad. After coming to the age of reason, Randal took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He was born in a small forest village. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
