History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Markosian grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Markosian. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Sammal was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Cleric, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Cleric in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Cleric who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Hatae lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She became a Baker soon after.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

History: He was born in a small desert village. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the west were limited. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Carter responsibilities is difficult.
