Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Mortician born in the past three hundred years. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: Tarhun was born the youngest of three triplets. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Merchant. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: Standing 6'5", this woman has a large pastel mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into her grey robe. Her fur, while still mostly lavender, has prominent grey streaks. Her eyes are likewise hazel.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Detective. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Detective.

Motivation: She's in love; and wants her loneliness to end

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he is content

Description: She tends to wear a black poncho over her likewise colored trousers and shirt. Her attire stands in sharp contrast to her shield, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a butterfly on it. Her green crest is still thick. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines gold.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her father.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and retire the richest woman in the north
