History: Carlin lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: His druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Through the years after Mâku was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Mâku's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Riswynn was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
