History: Heskan was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. After a long history of fighting, Sannl and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Emmeline hails from a village terrorized by brigands. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
