History: Volen hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.

Motivation: She has decided she is irredeemable; and she uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
