History: Varis was born the youngest of three triplets. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His mother, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bricklayer they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Adventurer, and he later adopted a second son.

History: Arava hails from a village terrorized by brigands. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Arava alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to brigands.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Gnomish artifacts is her passion; and to reunite with her old friends

History: Ralf was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dragonborns in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and to share knowledge with the world

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and she's in love
