History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Criella alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to gnolls.

History: Born in the east to a Painter, Birel learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She has never given up on her poetry dream.
