Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Shifting's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Shifting was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Shifting decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Mercenary kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Through the years after Tarak was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Tarak's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and his religion dominates his actions
