History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now owns his own business.

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. She has no hair. Her eyes are red and catlike.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is her passion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered dancing. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and obtaining odd cultural dwarven artifacts is his passion

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Veloptima fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
