History: Astar was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Aristocrat, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Qualen was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Weaver arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has never given up on her music dream.
