Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: Barendd lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Performer and was forced into it by his family.

History: The child of a Knight, who enjoyed hunting, Leaf was taken on many hunting expeditions. His childhood dream was to be a Knight, but he was a colossal failure. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Ilanis has worked very hard to control her curse. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has worked as a Beggar like his mother before him.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and to be a ploughman again
