However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in whip use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
