After coming to the age of reason, Murgen took it upon herself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Shepherd for hire.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Slave Trader. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born in the north to a Miner, Laucian learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Miner. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
