History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Carlin grew up listening to her father's many stories. She found a children's book about a Gnome Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

History: Gifted from a young age, Kildrak studied abroad. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Halfling companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Vaina alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Shamil was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.
