His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mercenary for the past few years.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Sarai was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She found a children's book about a Halfling Warlock who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he is greedy
