Personality: She is fixated on the number 20. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Helja lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She keeps her white hair in a flapper bob. Her eyes are likewise blue. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. She uses her nature as a weapon; she likes to lead opponents to think her in distress.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the south. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Seeks redemption.

Description: This late middle aged man wears a grey cloak and cross-gartered blue stockings and is in decent physical shape. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are green.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Tanner but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
