History: Patrick was born with his mother's beautiful face. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She found a children's book about a Gnome Warrior who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered east to less war torn lands. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
