History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Ruler work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ruler work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Ruler for hire.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Uthemar grew up listening to his father's many stories. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Mortician hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Kite lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and to reunite with her absent mother
