History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Howard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Carrie was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
