History: Nalaed was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She tends to her Butcher job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Performer. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Andraste lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. After a long history of fighting, Andraste and her spouse have recently divorced.
