History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Wella grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Wella. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Sethrekar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
