History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Adelaide was born on a far western island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Guard. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She seems to be bored by most things; and to find somewhere to settle down

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. Ribbles enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. After a long history of fighting, Ribbles and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he is wracked by social anxiety

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. Umpen liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He wants to get laid; and his religion dominates his actions
