One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Garl took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up scythe and armor he uses now. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Reeza was born on a far southern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Unemployed. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many brigands want her driven away.
