History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Vicky was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her psionic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
