History: Theobald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Makaria was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: He is a Knight first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Knight arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has worked as a Knight like his mother before him.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Silaqui never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Numba grew up listening to her father's many stories. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Being a Dyer kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and she desires power and/or immortality
