History: Volen was born with her mother's beautiful face. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Bounty Hunter responsibilities is difficult; and to be a fortune-teller again

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Tanner they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Detective, and she later adopted a second son.
