History: Tordrid hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Ploughman and was forced into it by his family; and an old rival family wants him found
