Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. History: She was born into a rich family. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. As a very small child her family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. Her father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect her and cast a teleportation spell that whisked her away. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: He got into the Mortician business at a young age. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has achieved small success as a Mortician.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes
