History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Beast alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Jarana was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Uthemar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
