History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Aldous was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Aldous took it upon himself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She moved out south to avoid the crime she committed. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off her debts

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She has passion for adventuring and risk.

History: Darrak was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the north were limited. He has worked as a Layabout like his mother before him.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She now mingles about in high society.
