History: Tarhun was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Tarhun was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Tarhun was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and balancing his hectic life and new scribe responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. The war was a terrible time for her, and Portia does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Portia was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Warrior, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is her passion

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Spy hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. A true patriot, Lavinia would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. A freak accident while working with her Body Guard mother left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
