History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Helen was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Helen decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Ielenia alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She's attracted to the PC; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Koeth was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Koeth abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Dwarven culture. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
