History: Howard was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Howard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Howard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Architect hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Caeldrim and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Glim hails from a village terrorized by goblins. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered goblins who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers.
