History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. A freak accident while working with his Knight mother left him crippled. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
