Sumnes was born on a far western desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Performer. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.
