Personality: He is happy with his job as a Dilettante. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. History: Born in the north to a Dilettante, Fabien learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He became a Dilettante soon after.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She found a children's book about a Gnome Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Cecily is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. A true patriot, Cecily would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. When Cecily reached her early adolescence her Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the north. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
