Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. The war was a terrible time for him, and Bhevek does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He tends to his Bookbinder job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. His addictions have taken their toll on his wallet, and he has found himself with a great deal of debt owed.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He got into the Bowyer business at a young age. A gifted student he started as a Laborer, but he got bored and became a Bowyer. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bowyer.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

History: Gale was born with her father's beautiful face. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Valida's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
