Description: A 6'8" northern man, he wears baggy white pantaloons and a black scarf. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his hazel eyes.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. The war was a terrible time for him, and Grumbar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Grumbar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Grumbar was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Grumbar was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Roywyn embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Born in the north to a Blacksmith, Roywyn learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She tends to her Blacksmith job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother.
