History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to find somewhere to settle down

Description: He is a mite stocky and wears grey painted combat armor at almost all times. He has a very tight haircut. He is baby faced.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Bernard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Druid, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Druid in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Oppah embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Junk Dealer. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants a kiss; and he has a crush on the local glassblower
