History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after Fonkin was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Fonkin's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Scribe responsibilities is difficult; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

Personality: She is a Spy first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Willow lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Spy for the past few years.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Spy and was forced into it by her family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gifted student he started as a Guard, but he got bored and became a Slave Trader. He became a Slave Trader soon after.
