She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He wants revenge against giants; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents were killed by goblins in a raid when he was still a young child. The goblins captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Anselm was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.
