History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Pogranix grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Pogranix. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: The child of a Dyer, who enjoyed hunting, Gale was taken on many hunting expeditions. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and someone believes her a fraud
