When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He found a children's book about a Dwarf Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Apothecary arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He now mingles about in high society.
