History: He was born into a rich family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Through the years after Andraste was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Andraste's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
